The Bakerman's Revenge

www.gomezgames.0catch.com

Once upon a time,

There was a Bakerman who lived happily with his young daughter. The two enjoyed nothing more than the time they spent making gingerbread men together. The years of baking had formed a tight bond between the father and daughter. Even now, though the daughter was a brilliant student at the local fairy college and though she was tutoring with the renowned Dr. Franklin Stein, she still baked cookies whenever she was at home.

On a warm summer day, in order to make her baking easier, she came up with the idea of putting some classroom theory to practice. (In fairy tales, this is almost always a bad idea) She decided to animate the gingerbread men to use them as kitchen help, but she found the little men very difficult to control. They would taunt her, singing, ''Can't catch me!" then they would jump from the pan, running around the room in a maddening manner, leaving crumbs and smears of icing all over her expensive magical lab equipment. She began setting traps for them. Dirty, sticky pans filled with grease and sugar. Those she caught were dipped in milk and fed to small school children.

One day, the girl came to her kitchen drunk on mead and flying on fairy dust. In a clumsy attempt to rekindle the fire in the oven, she accidentally knocked over some highly volatile reagents. The Bakerman heard an explosion and ran to see what had happened. He was shocked to see the huge hole that had been blown into the back wall of the lab, and was truly amazed to see a large group of gingerbread men running out yelling, "YIPPEE!" The gingerbread men ran as fast as they could toward the woods. When the Bakerman found his horribly scarred daughter, he jumped to the worst possible conclusion, shook his fist and vowed revenge. The Bakerman stumbled out, stunned and horrified. The sounds of tiny cookie feet and the jubilant shouts of escaping gingerbread men grew softer and more distant. He was filled with desperate anger, convinced that they were responsible. The Bakerman turned back to the lab, bent on destroying the vile gingerbread men.

The escaping gingerbread men eventually stopped and counted to see how many had survived. Their joy at escaping was harshly tempered by the number who were eaten or missing. A vote was taken and it was unanimous; the others must be rescued. The gingerbread men formed a guerrilla army and divided up into small rescue teams, ready at a moments notice to be of assistance to their escaping comrades.

Instructions for Play

The Bakerman is constantly adding cookies to the pan. He does this whenever the drop clock shrinks to nothing. When the pan is full and there is no more room for cookies, he places them on the fire and they all get blackened and crispy and you lose.

Your goal is to drop cookies so they match at least two of their neighbors in Cookie Type(Left, Right, T, etc...) or Icing Type(Mint, Lime, Lemon, etc...) If you make a match, all three men, and any other connected gingerbread men will jump out of the pan and run away (if they have the same matching Icing or Cookie Type).

When you make a match and the guys escape, you earn time on the drop clock, giving you more time before the Bakerman can drop his next man on the pan. The more men escape in a single move, the more time you earn on the clock and the more breathing room you get.

When all the cookies are gone, the Bakerman gives up and starts trying to burn a new batch.

Left clicking on the mouse drops the cookie in the nearest empty spot, marked by the drop target.

Right clicking the mouse rotates through the three cookies in the current rescue team.
